FC Como Women’s bold brand identity merges sports and style, driving unprecedented sponsorship and cultural momentum
The new club identity departs from tradition, blending sports and style codes, something which has not been done in Italian football. The intention was to create a brand which could drive kit sales and merchandise, becoming a style icon as much as a club icon (think LA Dodgers, NY Yankees for a new era), and ideally become a reference point of proud independence on the pitch, and in wider culture. Our approach was to establish a new brand world 'pure passion' which could guide all the aesthetic decisions and inform the feel of the new club identity. An elevated, minimal sense of purity, and underlying passion symbolises a new chapter for the game, inviting new codes for a new era. - The crest is crafted with meaningful references, such as the weaving history of the area, reflections from the lake, and classic calligraphy. - Type has a modern classicism, standing out with confidence instead of shouting - Colours and kit motifs play on bold simplicity, oversized badging, unusual placement at odds with established club identities - Art Direction is central to a content-led team, we wanted to lead with evocative storytelling
