About
The GDUSA American Graphic Design Gallery is the online home for the winners of the GDUSA Design Awards: the projects, the firms and designers who made them, and the trends that connect them. It grows with every awards season.
Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) has been the news magazine of the American graphic design community since 1963, and for six decades it has championed this work in print. Most of that history still lives in the annuals. This gallery is where the digital era of the record lives online: a searchable, permanent, and growing archive of recent winners, with more added every season. It is not everything GDUSA has ever published. It is the part you can explore, search, and link to.
We built the gallery as a visual-first way to celebrate excellent design and the industry-leading designers and firms behind it. The magazine has always done that in print. The web lets the work be seen at full size, searched by anyone, and credited to the exact people who made it, permanently. A win should not disappear onto a shelf. It should have an address.
Most design awards crown most beautiful design. We do that too. But we also make room for the work those programs have no category for: the design that simply has to get done. The label on the water cooler. The benefits enrollment form. The signage in the parking garage. Nobody hands out trophies for a water cooler, because a water cooler does not need the most beautiful design in the world. It needs design that works. GDUSA celebrates excellent visual design, and right alongside it, the excellent functional design that keeps commerce and communication running. Both are craft. Both are hard. Both deserve to be seen.
Every project in the gallery won a GDUSA award. Behind each one are the studios and designers who made it, each with a profile that gathers their winning work in one place. And over the whole archive, we compute what the field is actually doing: the styles, colors, and ideas that rise and fade year to year, published as the Trends Blog and GDUSA Design Intelligence. Alongside the work, a growing directory of vendors — the printers, papers, software, and partners behind it, vetted against award-winning results.
Winning work from 2021 to today, with more added every awards season.
This is a record of verified human creativity. Every project here is human-made work that won a human-reviewed award, and the people behind it are verified through our claim process. We use AI the way a newsroom uses any tool: for plain-English search and optional editorial summaries, always labeled. We never use it to make the design. As the web fills with machine-generated images, the gallery is a deliberate counterweight, and proof of what people made, credited to the people who made it.

For designers and firms, a win published here is a permanent, public, search-friendly credential that sends real visitors and real backlinks to your own site. For the field, the gallery and its Design Intelligence make recent design history legible: what won, who made it, and where the work is heading next.
