The Nova Collective Rebrand

A new presidential administration villainized DEI, and The Nova Collective had to pivot. DEI is baked into their leadership training and always will be, but they needed to change the conversation and adapt accordingly. So, they repositioned themselves as a leadership development firm that creates tailor-made learning built for what’s now and what’s next. Nova hired Brim Branding to design a new brand identity that ushered Nova into their next era. As a woman-founded and owned brand who has partnered with global organizations, Fortune 500s and public institutions, they needed a visual vocabulary that called to like-minded leaders in these organizations while being authentic to their own tastes. Brim worked closely with a brand strategist and created a stylescape with brand assets, colors, typography, and photography that encapsulated Nova’s impact, agility, and ability to meet the moment and move people forward. In place of the previous navy blues were vibrant purples. Instead of a mint wash of color, we used staccatos of energetic lime green for callouts. To portray agility, we incorporated textured brush strokes. And for stock imagery models, we focused on stylish, high-status professionals who made direct eye contact with the viewer to portray connection. Nova officially launched their new brand identity at ATD2025 and won the Linear Booth Award and then soon became the 2025 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards Winner in Leadership Development.
