ABOUT THE TEAM Benco Dental offers a full range of complimentary services to our dentist customers beyond oral healthcare technology and equipment. One of those services is interior design and space planning for dental practice new construction and renovation, executed by our three regional design studios in California, Texas and Pennsylvania. So it only makes sense to also offer practice branding and logo graphic design as well, merging the vast dental market experience of our in-house creatives with our team of interior designers to help create more cohesive and synergistic convergences between built environments and branding and environmental graphics. ABOUT THE PROJECT Smile Co. is a startup dental office located in Tampa Palms, Florida. Dr. Miten Patel reached out to us to create his visual identity with future scalability in mind; he's already thinking about opening additional locations. "He wanted to create a brand that would be timeless, a little trendy, and encourages his patients to expect and demand high-end care," said Benco Dental's brand design specialist, Allison Simenkiewicz. The deep, soothing greens are a calming nod to palm fronds, while the gold hints at excellence and top-tier care. The imagery in the icon also evokes Smile Co. as an oasis in a desert, palm tree and all. The "sand" is the silhouette of a tooth with a little added sparkle. Taken together, it's miles from the corporate-type branding of big practice chains like Aspen Dental: just personal enough to telegraph that a real dentist has created this world and not a committee of executives. It's reflective of his treatment philosophy and personal sensibilities and also his love of the region, but not so personal as to exclude patients from the brand narrative. Smile Co. is a world where everybody gets healthier together.
