Oído rebrands a culinary education program, symbolizing empowerment through authentic regional connections and collaborative learning.
Oído is a rebrand of a culinary and hospitality education program in Kantunilkín, Quintana Roo, Mexico, formerly known as Hand Offering Hope, a name that no longer reflects its mission. The program has evolved into a deeply rooted professional culinary community, emphasizing authentic regional connections and collaborative learning. This new identity represents what the program has always been about: listening to young people’s dreams and responding with action. In the culinary world, “oído” means “heard,” a call to action in kitchens. For Oído, it symbolizes empowerment and transformation. The identity draws inspiration from traditional Mexican hair braids and Mayan motifs at the entrance to Kantunilkín—symbols of unity, heritage, and shared knowledge. Interwoven lines reflect the strength of collective growth, much like the culinary industry’s reliance on mentorship and collaboration. A natural, color palette ties the brand to the region’s landscapes, reinforcing sustainability and a sense of place.
