American Package Design Awards 2026
Art for all – not just for historians, art collectors, or museum-goers. It's an exploration of art for everyone – to be reached by wider audiences than ever thought before. MoMa and Mattel have collaborated for a multi-year, multi-brand partnership that highlights the artworks and the masters who painted them. Stretching across Mattel Brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Little People, Uno and more, the Mattel x MoMA partnership brings masterpieces right into your own home. With innovative and approachable designs, consumers can collect their very own piece of art. Packaging across category and brand leans into the minimalist styling of MoMA to allow the art to speak for itself – interpretations of the masters are highlighted through streamlined, elegant packaging. The Museum of Modern Art’s collection houses nearly 200,000 works of art from the masters of their craft over the last 150 years – and with Mattel’s partnership, Mattel has taken inspiration from the master's and has created beautiful pairings of iconic toys with signature artworks, objects, and even the artists themselves from MoMA’s permanent collection. Meticulously researched, artfully designed, and ingeniously crafted, each package highlights the awe-inspiring works of art – reaching audiences far and wide because art truly is for everyone.
