Ripple: Lake Martin Travel App Student Project

Lake Martin isn’t just about the water. Around the lake, there are places like Chimney Rock, a well known spot where people climb up and jump into the lake during the summer. The area also has a lot of small, locally-owned restaurants, with a focus on Southern food and fresh fish. Towns like Alexander City and Dadeville sit nearby, and they have a laid back feel with local shops, festivals, and live music. The lake and the towns around it are pretty tied together, and a lot of people spend time between both when they visit. Planning a trip to Lake Martin can honestly be a hassle. Rentals get booked up fast, it’s hard to know what’s actually worth doing, and prices aren’t always easy to find. Ripple shows a calendar with busy dates so you can plan around the crowds, and you can find activities based on what you’re interested in. It also shows real-time wait times for restaurants and attractions, plus how much things actually cost. I wanted it to make planning a trip feel less overwhelming and more straightforward.
