Mugsy is redefining the conversation around desserts, offering a treat that’s fun to make without the guilt often associated with baking. By creating a gluten- and dairy-free product, Mugsy lets consumers indulge in something delicious without filling the house with sugary temptations. Inspired by Mugsy’s passion, we built the brand around the idea of pure enjoyment. We drew from conceptual modern fonts while embracing the charm of funky vintage typography. This approach led to a retro-inspired, hand-lettered brand mark, complete with bold drop shadows, radiating both confidence and nostalgia—perfectly capturing the joy and handmade feel of mug cakes. Each flavor is distinguished by a unique color palette that reflects its taste while evoking a celebratory spirit. Playful illustrations of ingredients, like lemons and chocolate chips, add movement and personality, reinforcing Mugsy’s commitment to simple, real ingredients. The overall design is fun yet sophisticated, striking the perfect balance between playful and mature.
