MicroAct Project

Our emotions are often influenced by subtle, unnoticed behaviors such as running our fingers over textured surfaces, feeling the warmth of a drink, or tapping a rhythm with our feet. These seemingly insignificant moments carry emotional weight, shaping how we feel in ways we rarely recognize. MicroAct captures these fleeting micro-actions and transforms them into structured data, revealing patterns between sensory experiences, emotions, and subconscious habits. By tracking these moments, I can better understand what soothes me, what causes stress, and how my surroundings subtly affect my well-being. Through visual storytelling and interactive data exploration, MicroAct serves as my personal emotional toolkit—helping me identify triggers, regulate emotions, and create a more mindful and intentional daily experience. Each data point is represented as a flower, a metaphor for how small, unnoticed behaviors shape emotional well-being. Over time, patterns emerge as certain sensory experiences repeat and take form, like petals unfolding. Every day, I cultivate my emotions in different ways, and by abstracting the flower shape, I create a clearer and more structured visualization of these micro-moments.
