Blending authentic artifacts, immersive storytelling, and a sense of place, the design evokes the warmth and character of the inn’s 1920s interiors. Visitors trace High Hampton’s evolution from the Hampton family estate to a beloved mountain retreat that shaped the identity of Cashiers. A restored 1920s phone booth offers an interactive experience where guests can listen to recorded memories and share their own, creating an evolving archive that connects generations. Rooted in authenticity and community, the exhibit transforms local history into a living, shared experience.
