When a client walks into your studio and says he wants people to "grab his meat and rub it," you can't help but laugh...and blush. That was our introduction to Chef Rich Tishler, better known as Dicky T, and the spirited team behind his new spice rub company. Rich, his wife, her sister, and her husband came to studio Chartreuse with one simple request: create something different. Something bold. Something that made people smile before they even tasted the product. The result was a brand built on confidence, humor, and just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek fun. The product lineup was designed to celebrate gathering around the table, from weeknight family dinners (with six kids between the two families!) to backyard barbecues, chili cook-offs, crockpot classics, and everything in between. Their handcrafted spice blends transformed everyday meals into memorable experiences, and the branding needed to capture that same sense of flavor, fun, and personality. One of our favorite solutions emerged during the packaging process. We created a custom tongue-shaped security seal that folds over the top of each spice tin. More than just tamper protection, the tongue became an iconic brand element, adding an unexpected moment of delight as customers opened each can. The same playful personality extended to every touchpoint, including the bestselling three-pack gift set affectionately named "The Threesome." The finished identity proves that memorable branding isn't just about looking good on a shelf. It's about creating an emotional connection. Through clever copywriting, unexpected packaging, and a healthy dose of humor, we transformed a simple line of spice rubs into a brand people couldn't resist picking up, laughing about, and sharing. Because sometimes the best brands don't take themselves too seriously. They simply invite you to grab the meat...rub it...and enjoy every delicious bite.
