Bristol Road Extension Highlight Video

The Bristol Road Extension project is located in Chalfont Borough, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The roadway extension and bridge will provide access, intersection connections and an additional route for EMS and the traveling public in an area that cannot currently be crossed. TPD's Marketing Department was tasked with creating 3D drive through simulations and overhead animations, highlighting the improvements that this project would offer the community. In public meetings visuals are much easier to understand than blueprints and technical explanations. For this project CAD software was used to create a 3D layout of the design, existing and proposed utilities, and vegetation as well as animate the railroad crossing bars. 3D design software was used to create custom signs, replicate existing buildings, and layout the various safety barricades. Rendering software added the final touches with flashing lights, timed traffic flows for vehicles and pedestrians, and added realistic materials, ambient lighting and shading. This video is a compilation of 4 of the videos used to give people in this area a realistic idea of what it will feel like to drive through their neighborhood once these improvements are complete.
