The BFA in Graphic Design program at The University of Alabama (UA) resides in the Department of Art and Art History in the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences. UA’s graphic design program is NASAD-accredited and prepares students to be technically versed, critical thinkers who create forms of visual communication that are dynamic and functional, and address the design goals of the contemporary world. The program offers courses on package design, publication design, brand and visual identity, illustration, motion design, UX/UI, typography, production, and more. Throughout the curriculum, students gain real-world experience with internships and classroom collaborations with businesses and organizations, have access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and finish with a competitive professional portfolio upon graduation.
