The LSU College of Art & Design in Baton Rouge is Louisiana’s foremost school for fine arts, art history, and the design professions, with programs highly ranked in national surveys. The school combines the best of both worlds: the resources and faculty of a large liberal arts institution with the personal attention that comes in a close-knit community. More than 35 full-time faculty members and 500 undergraduate and graduate students explore and embrace studies in art history, ceramics, digital art, graphic design, painting & drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The graphic design BFA program prepares students to become visual communicators, critical thinkers, and creative problem solvers through a broad range of experiences in typography, print and editorial design, information design, digital imaging, packaging, environmental design, identity design, and branding.
