Bank of America empowers nonprofits to embrace diversity in leadership through impactful social media storytelling.
Executive board leadership for nonprofits, foundations and charitable organizations requires bold decision-making with a focus on advancing the organization’s mission. But there are a number of common structural issues and cultural barriers that need to be addressed to reap the benefits of diversity and inclusion. What’s holding nonprofits back? And what can be done to overcome the structural and cultural barriers to building diverse boards? To engage members of non-profit boards to embrace diversity in their leadership, ECS created LinkedIn video social media posts for Bank of America Private Bank and their advisors that link to an article they host on their website: How to unlock the power of an inclusive and diverse leadership team. The first video highlights the possibilities that come with a diverse board, while the second features a powerful statistic form the article: 82% of nonprofit CEOs said diversity was important when recruiting board members, but only 26% place a high priority on demographics.
