American Package Design Awards 2025
Transforming bandage packaging into a symbol of strength and healing through thoughtful design choices.
This project is a personal exploration of how bandage packaging can be reimagined to connect with people on a deeper level. Too often, medical packaging feels sterile and impersonal, especially for a product meant to aid in healing. I wanted to shift that perception by creating packaging that conveys strength, empowerment, and protection, turning something as simple as a bandage box into a more intentional and impactful design. The concept was simple yet meaningful: the packaging should visually communicate resilience and confidence. Every design decision, from the deep red that represents vitality and urgency to the dark blue evoking calmness and trust, was made to create a feeling of strength and reassurance. Bright yellow, used sparingly as an accent, infuses a sense of hope and positivity into the overall design. Bold, large typography emphasizes the product’s reliability, breaking away from the small, clinical text typically seen in medical packaging. The bandage-shaped text box brings the product’s purpose front and center, while the wound-like star highlights key features, blending the concepts of injury and recovery in a visually dynamic way. This design aims to move away from the sterile, impersonal feel of traditional medical packaging and instead embraces a look that fosters trust, durability, and healing. This project, not tied to any brand or collaboration, is simply my personal take on how design can transform everyday products, where design is not just about appearance, but about shaping meaningful experiences that resonate with people.
