'Pixelated Pearl: A Proudly Nerdy, Joyously Girly Story' is a children's book that celebrates the duality of interests in a Filipino-American tween girl named Pearl. Through vibrant hand-drawn illustrations and original lettering, the book conveys a powerful message: being both nerdy and girly is not only acceptable but also a source of strength. Pearl's journey of self-acceptance encourages young readers to embrace their diverse passions without embarrassment. The project began with sketches and evolved into a fully realized story, successfully funded on Kickstarter within three days and recognized as a Project We Love. The creators aim to reach children and educators through various community platforms, fostering confidence and curiosity in multifaceted interests.
