OLE redefines library management with an open-source platform, backed by a compelling new website design.

In the entrant's words

University libraries typically use software and methodology developed around the traditional printed-book lending system. As libraries evolved into digital information hubs, the entrenched legacy systems developers offered little beyond costly bandaid solutions. OLE (Open Library Environment) was founded by a group of forward-thinking universities seeking an open source solution geared around the evolving needs of librarians. Our role was to help establish credibility for the brand as a desirable and viable solution with unmatched member benefits.
