Joe Treacy shares 41 years of type design wisdom in a talk at the Museum of Printing, now available online.
Saturday, April 26 at 1 pm, Joe Treacy of Treacyfaces.com gave a 90-minute talk entitled “How to Design a Typeface.” Treacy was one of the first type designers to design PostScript fonts, long before the OpenType font format. He was featured in Frank Romano’s landmark book 'History of Desktop Publishing'. He described the perils, pitfalls, and benefits of digital type design and operating one of the first independent type foundries for 41 years. Joe’s talk was free with Museum admission at Museum of Printing in Haverhill, MA and is available as online video.
