I PROFESS 20th Anniversary Exhibition Catalog

Catalog for I Profess: The Graphic Design Manifesto, a 20th anniversary traveling exhibition of posters by design professors from around the world. The catalog commemorates the posters & statements of the 2004 and 2024 iterations of the international traveling exhibition. Working with the original design identity created by Maya Drozdz and Nicole Pivirotto for the 2004 iteration of I Profess, I designed this commemorative catalog to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the exhibition that includes the works and designer statements from the 2004 and 2024 exhibitions, an essay by Rick Griffith about the exhibition, and details about the dates and venues that exhibited the poster shows in 2004–2008 and 2024–2025. The catalog is an exciting accompaniment to the traveling poster exhibition that showcases various viewpoints and pedagogical and ideological priorities and aims to inspire and be starting points for cross-cultural dialogue among students, faculty, graphic designers, and other expert communities. With this exhibit, we hoped to encourage cross/disciplinary debate and to provoke the next generation of graphic designers to actively shape the future of our profession. At this time, the exhibition has shown at 20 galleries associated with universities in USA and UK. The catalog commemorates the two iterations of this important design exhibition, 20 years in the making.
