Signage is the design a visitor uses without choosing to, and when it fails the building fails with it. The designer decides what a visitor reads from fifty feet and what they read up close, and the drawing specifies the materials and the mounting as well as the letterforms. AARP and PepsiCo Design & Innovation share the lead for signs, environmental and experiential graphics in 2016 with 3 winning projects each, ahead of Protect-A-Bed (3), American Museum of Natural History (2), Robert Bosch Tool Corporation (2). The firms with the most GDUSA awards for signs, environmental and experiential graphics in 2016 are ranked below, each with one of its winning projects. Open any firm to see all of its work.
