A bottle is bought on the label more often than the industry admits, and a shelf of wine is a shelf of design competing at arm's length. The designer tells a story in a few square inches of paper and foil and makes the bottle feel worth its price before it's opened. The winners here are distinct on the shelf and precise in the hand. CF Napa Brand Design has won 27 times with wine and spirits labels that earn their price point, and Pulp+Wire's Bold Coast vodka packaging took a 2026 full page for a Maine spirit infused with oyster shells and a label to match. The best wine and spirits label designers in the country are on this page. Open any bottle to see the label up close and learn what makes it sell.
