Best of the Year
Best Sales & Self Promotion of 2018
The sales and self promotion that won a GDUSA award in 2018, each with the firm and the designers credited.
35 award-winning projects
Self-promotion is a design firm's own brief, with no client to blame, so it tells a buyer more than a portfolio does. The designer has to show a prospective client the firm's range and taste in one object that client would choose to keep, which means leaving most of the portfolio out. The winners here are generous and specific, and they stay on the desk. Leibowitz's Branding A to Z took a full page for turning a vocabulary gap into a glossary clients use, and Design Axl's annual letterpress postcards have become a ritual its clients expect. The best self-promotion designers in the awards are collected here. Open any piece to see it and learn what made it work.
