Motion is how a brand behaves on a screen, and screens are where most of its audience now meets it. The designer works in time as well as space, deciding what enters the frame and how long an idea holds before the cut, and the discipline is in what gets left out. The pieces that win here make one point per second and look composed at every frozen frame. Maverick Studios' SONIC Unicorn Dream Slush spot and Equinix's in-house social animations both took full pages for exactly that economy. The best motion designers in the awards are shown here.
