USC Roski School of Art and Design has a noteworthy history as a supportive environment for talented students to explore creativity, experimentation, and collaboration with renowned faculty. Roski’s graduate programs are housed in a state-of-the-art facility in the Los Angeles Arts District – a vibrant art and design community. The MFA Design program instills a critical understanding of the issues, theories, and ideas that are relevant to contemporary design. This open approach offers myriad opportunities for interdisciplinary research and collaboration across the 18 professional schools at USC, one of the world’s leading research institutions. This gives Roski design students the ability to integrate countless relevant pathways to shape their contemporary design practice. Roski’s faculty is a diverse group of internationally recognized artists, designers, and scholars dedicated to their students and their professional work. Small classes ensure a close, personal instruction with abundant access to the faculty that includes Jason Ellenburg, April Greiman, Brian O’Connell, and MFA Design program director Ewa Wojciak. Additionally, students interact with visiting designers in lectures, classes, and portfolio reviews through the Visiting Designer and Designer-in-Residence forums.
